This journal is so adorable. I bought the first one.. with the pink cover and blue pages, and I have to say I like this one better. The inside pages are more of a uniform shade of green unlike the first journal, so it's not as distracting if I'm trying to read what I've written. The quality is great, but obviously you're going to buy it for the cuteness which is just enough to not be overwhelming.

It is really adorable! The only thing i have a slight problem with is that it's advertised as spiral bound, which it is...partially. The spirals are covered by a stem. Which mean you can't flip the pages all the way over. You have to write with the journal totally open, as if it were hardback. I like to be able to fold the back over, hence the reason for spirals.

Love the bright colorful covers, front & back. The inside pages are decorated with characters as well, with a cute sushi theme. Don't care for the devil character - guess you can just put a sticker over it or just draw over it. Otherwise, a perfectly fun journal to jot down daily thoughts or notes to remember!

I actually bought this journal by accident thinking it was day planner, but I decided to keep it anyway. It's almost impossible to tell from the picture, but it is spiral bound, but like the other reviewer said, it does have a thick cardboard spine so it's not like you can flip the pages completely over to lie flat. It is quite convenient to stick a pen down the side of the spine though. The only other thing that makes it a bit of a pain is that there are also no lines on the pages. The outside is covered in illustrations and the inside pages are as well, in a green tone. So if you LOVE TokiDoki, go for it, but it's not the greatest journal in the world.

This journal caught my daughters eye for the bold colors and L.A. logo on it. We are from southern california, so she really wanted it. It was delivered in a very timely manner and was even better in person. Ive also ordered two other tokidoki journals! Highly recommend!
